Building A Bridge: A Gift

God Bridge between

This gift is the beginning of building a bridge from nowhere to somewhere

Or

From nowhere to everywhere

Or

From wallowing in our self-made muck

Or

From acting upon our God-given talents

Or

From looking in a mirror and seeing a nothing

Or

From seeing a nothing to seeing everything

Life is always about choice. YOUR choice for every moment presents choices. You can live in darkness and hide, shame or guilt, anger or fear

You can grab yourself by your bootstraps and engage, in the moment, with the power and innocence of who you truly are.

Sadly we all too often get stuck in the illusion of our own making. We judge ourselves and others by earthly measures, ego, or whatever. We often withdraw into a darkened tunnel as we let out an inaudible scream. Help me, help me, I am lost. I can’t find my way out so I go deeper into the darkness that envelops me like a cavernous tomb ever ready to swallow me up but wait. What is that I see?

I see a pinpoint of light. Is it at the tunnels end or is it radiating outward from within myself? That saving grace, light seed, pulsing my heart just waiting to ignite the me of my full potential, the me of childlike trust, the me who is not afraid to pull away from the darkness which has and continues to imprison me. I hear my screams.

I want to be cradled just as I Am

And

The giver of the gift says, you already are.

I want to be loved for who I Am

And

The giver of the gift says, you already are.

Don’t give up on me

And

The giver of the gift says, never.

Are you a lifeline to help jump-start my life

And

The giver of the gift says, yes, if you will trust me.

Are you the one who will ignite the spark to forgiveness of myself and others

And

The giver of the gift says I am but a tool.

I am lost screaming to be found

And

The giver of the gift says, believe it, you already are.
